The businesses and citizens of Hastings enjoy the start of December with many activities as the City of Hastings celebrates the Christmas season.
On the first weekend in December each year the City of Hastings celebrates the Christmas season. This is a community wide event for all ages.

Along the streets of Hastings, you will see shoppers and horse drawn carriages on Friday evening. On Saturday and Sunday a horse drawn wagon is available for rides around town. The Holly Trolley is around town all weekend for rides with the family and Santa is sometimes seen here also. The merchants of Hastings pay for the rides around town as their way of sharing the Christmas spirit with the community.
This year the Hastings High School students made giant Christmas greeting cards to display in front of stores along State Street and Jefferson Street.
Santa returned to Dicks Barber Shop on South Jefferson Street. All the kiddies big and small enjoy talking with Santa.
