Veterans Memorial at Commercial Bank
Commercial Bank in Hastings dedicated a Veterans Memorial bench today, July 3, 2012.
This bench is in appreciation of all Barry County Veterans. A tree will be planted to give you a shady spot to sit.
With a slight overcast sky, a light summer breeze and the sound of taps echoing through the Hastings morning, The American Legion Honor Guard and Rifle Squad with a 21-gun salute dedicated a new Reflection Area. The ceremony included a Flag Raising on the front lawn of Commercial Bank,where a new sitting bench is located and inscribed, “Honoring Barry County Veteran’s. Gus Macker in Hastings
The Gus Macker tournament came to Hastings June 30 and July 1. Under the sunny sky, the teams played basketball in the streets.
