Christmas Eve 2009

Christ's Birth

Christ's Birth

We photographed the cantata performed by the First Presbyterian Church called “I Hear the Prophet Callin’” on Christmas Eve. They did a splendid job and the whole church was glowing in candle light for the close of the program. “Gifted composer Pepper Choplin is widely celebrated for creating refreshingly different, original anthems that resonate with traditional folk qualities. Inspired by his best-selling Appalachian style anthem of the same name (I Hear the Prophet Callin’), Choplin has crafted a stylized Christmas cantata that is unique, unusual and yet somehow very comfortable and compatible … the perfect way to celebrate the simplicity of Christmas!” Quoted from Lorenz Publisher’s notes and the December 24, 2009 11:00 pm program from the First Presbyterian Church in Hastings.

Victims Services Ball

Dancers

A good time was had by all. Great music, beautiful dancing, yummy food, and friends to share the holiday. The Victims Services Unit put on a lovely ball at The Walldorff in Hastings to raise money for thier efforts. When there is an emergency, these everyday heros go to help with the crisis after law enforcement and emergency people have done what they can. They help families to know what to do after a tragedy.
