I am always nervous to send prints in for competition especially for the Internation Competition from Professional Photographers of America. This year I did very well. I have 1 print in the general collection in the Merit category.

That Old Time Religion

That means that the print is above average compared to the technical areas that the judges cosider. “If your entry scores above a certain level, you will earn a merit, which adds up to a PPA degree. And those degrees recognize a level of commitment to and skill in photography.” PPA.com Then I have 2 that have been accepted to the Loan Collection. It is a great honor to have prints accepted for Loan.

“Go Loan.” Your image could score high enough to secure a spot in the International Traveling Loan Collection, which travels to different exhibits and is published in a book.” PPA.com The Loan Collection can be on exhibit anywhere in the world. I only need two more Merit prints to earn my Master of Photography degree! Keep watching next year to see if I made it.
